The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel New York City, New York City

The Carlyle is superbly located just off Madison Avenue, offering a fantastic experience if you know what you're looking for. The rooms may need a facelift, with country-style wallpaper in the higher tower section, but the views across 76th street of Central Park are nice. Although the room was a bit small for a deluxe king, it was still a decent stay overall.

The hotel is really not up to their name and tradition in terms of room quality, located in the tower. The service was incredibly accommodating, especially from Arianna Johnson. The location suited us perfectly for this particular trip, though it may not be the place for a first-time visitor. The dining experience was delicious, worth lingering over, despite some wasted food items. The facilities were good overall.
